P-39D's

Post by wobbly »

Why is there 2 entries in the replacement plane information screen for P-39's?

In my game one shows about 33 planes per month and the other shows 6.

The higher P-39D replacement no. is for the US production which goes only to USAAF squadrons while the small number would be replacements for the Australian RAAF squadron.

They are considered 2 distinct a/c types in the game. If you are playing a scen which doesn't have the RAAF P-39 squadron in it, the smaller production will just go to waste.

It's the same for both the A20B and A20G Boston replacements. both have two sets of replacements, one for the USAAF and one for the RAAF.

Same for the P-40E except you can at least tell which one is which by the fact that the RAAF/RNZAF called it the Kittyhawk while the USAAF used the more macho Warhawk.

In NZ the light bulbs go off when it doesn't rain in the hydro lakes!
