I'm still playing, subject to interruption by my real job in the Navy.

I've had one PBEM game that ended early 1943 a few years ago. I'm starting a AI game to get back into the groove and may look for a PBEM game sometime next year.

I've been playing for 8 years, the last two in a PBEM campaign game with a local friend. I read this forum weekly and sometimes attempt to comment but always forget my login. Maybe that's a good thing.

I have been playing for 3 years. I am still playing the first game I started, Allies vs. Japan (AI), stock, Dec 7th, Quite China. Currently it's 15 MAR 43. I love coming to this forum and reading. The mix of game tips, history, humor, and contemporary issues makes this forum a must read.

One of the few games I keep on whatever hard drive I'm using at the time. Have a game vs Japan AI that I've had going for several years now. Unlikely to ever finish, but it's the journey, not the destination. Enjoy reading the AARs.

Cheers,

Still active here. Bought the game when it first came out and - while I take many breaks from it - the damn game keeps drawing me back in. Usually what seems to start it for me is to watch a WWII Pacific War Documentary. Recently, I watched the Battlefield Series about Okinawa, Midway and Leyte.

Not surprisingly, that got me interested in starting up another game.

I've played WITP since the original and every iteration since. Always vs the AI. But recently I tire of the AI and have begun the PBEM experience. A couple games now underway *yay*

No other game gives me the level of detail/micromanagement I crave in my strategic wargames than WITP. I applaud the modding community for keeping things fresh and improving upon the original concept.

While HOI is fun, it lacks the statistics I desire, one that WITP fulfills.

While Panzer Campaign games give me the tactical fun and detail I like, it lacks the overall strategic options WITP fulfills.

When I saw the $80 price tag for WITP, I didn't even flinch. And over the years, as my STEAM collection slowly grows, WITP remains to this day, the only war game I ever bought that I dream of when I lay may head down to sleep. I will gladly pay $100 for a WITP2 title.

I will play WITP until I am no longer able to.

That is all.

edited - side note: as for keeping tally, we just need a thread junkie to count up the unique names posting here and update that total in a post from time to time. [:D]

Playing only against AI since early WITP days. I've been playing AE against AI since it was released in 2009.

No time for PBEM but I play at least every week since many.. many... years now.

Regards to all forum members. Never knew a forum like this one.

The roll call has shifted gears I see....I play AE actively. I usually have 2 PBEMs ongoing. I have played, often with myself, since the original variant was released.

5 1/2 years and counting, all of it in the same PBEM campaign (vs Pillager).
