"Soft error loading Unit object from save file."

I am getting an error message that says "Soft error loading Unit object from save file." The screen is locked. I can only close the window be going to the Task Manager and killing it. The program worked fine last week. Does anybody know what's wrong or how to fix it?

JRRJR, Can you tell us what you were doing at the time of the error? Is this Matrix or Steam version? OS? Red Storm with or without Reforged DLC?

I was trying to start a game. I get to the "Select Game Play Options" page, hit "Proceed", and get the error message and it locks.

Are you loading a Save file from an older version of Flashpoint?

One thing that stands out is the version of the game? What version are you running? You should update to the latest which is 2.0.10. Depending on how old your version is, that could be the trouble here.

I bought the game and downloaded it about 3 weeks ago. Just checked, the automatic version checker says that it is up to date. It's version 2.0.9.

The latest version should be 2.0.10. 2.0.9 should load scenarios just fine. Let's grab more information. What is your OS? Is this the Matrix or Steam version? Do you have Admin privilege on the computer? Gave you tried reinstalling the updates? Can you grab us a screen shot of the Main Menu?

I just updated to 2.0.10 and it's working fine. I'm using Windows 10, Matrix version, and I have admin privileges.
