Quick search and couldn't spot any reference to this weeks big defence news from UK that RAF is to acquire 9 x P-8 Poseidon subhunter aircraft.

No detail yet on loadout (US torpedos or Spearfish?) or whether it will have MAD boom (like Indian P-8Is) or not (like USN Poseidons).

Full 9 in service by 2025 with initial 3 to be in service by 2020.

There's also a interesting trial with a solar-powered HALE UAV called Zephyr - able to stay aloft for 3 months. (think a very very lightweight Global Hawk-type capability) and UK will also get 'Protector' UAVs (essentially Reaper/Predator Bs with extra fuel tanks (doubles endurance) and NATO certification).
