Map Overlay?

Post by StrategyGamer »

Question, I am new to this editor, and it doesn't seem like their is an overlay option.
Is there a way to add an overlay, or just interpret the locations.

Opart Design and Debug (ODD) by Curt Chambers is good for hex laying on a map. You use the Map Tool under the Design Module heading. Much of this program is out dated due to TOAW changing but the Map Tool is a great way to make maps. You could try to make a map on the fly but it won't be accurate. I think for your own use it wouldn't be a big deal but if you put out a scenario for others to play accuracy is important.

You can go here https://thetoawbeachhead.wordpress.com/ a great TOAW website with lots of stuff.

Thx! [&o]
I'm just used to ATG's editor overlay, hopefully TOAW IV has that feature, as ODD can be overloaded. (due to experimentation)

@Lobster,

You once did a great post on mapping, and ODD. With a list of how-to's and best practices. I cannot find the *&^% thing here to link. I did try holding my printed out copy to the screen, but that is not working as an attachment to this msg. either.

Do you have a copy of that post, or can you find it ? It is a great summary of techniques for getting maps ready for TOAW. I think reposting that list would be very helpful -- it has been very very useful to me.

Maybe this thread post #40? Kinda brief.
