How to update to 2.0.10b?
Is anyone out there who was able to update to the above mentioned version? I was with my Steam version but am facing a lot of trouble and error messages in my PBEM games. Would like to return to my Matrix version but I was not able to update, neither through FTP download nor automatic updater. Need help....

RE: How to update to 2.0.10b?
Tom, the Matrix installer for 2.0.10b is not loading the correct exe file as far as we can tell. It appears to be reverting the exe back to 2.0.10, but updating the registry for 10b. Try the following download and see if 1) it shows as 2.0.10b and 2) runs for you. We are still looking at some weird installer behavior and need to chat with Matrix/Slitherine folks on it, but the holiday is going to disrupt that effort for a few days. Many thanks, Jim. At least it shows 2.0.10b now. Now waiting for my turns to test.

Same error messages in the Matrix version of the game. At least this PBEM++ game is unplayable for me.
My opponent and me will revert to V2.08 as V2.0.10 is a total disaster. A pity, we cannot play the Germany Reforged scenarios.
Others are already talking about Flashpoint Middle East but I think you should concentrate on the current game to run without errors before developing something new.

RE: How to update to 2.0.10b?
Good Afternoon TomBombadil711,
Sorry to hear that you were experiencing issues with the update and your PBEM games.
The v2.0.10b installer has been updated as it was intended and should now deliver the correct files.
Could you either run the automatic updater once more or download the file directly from here.
After the update has completed, please confirm that the version reads as "Version 2.0.10b".
Please contact us again if you experience any further issues.
Happy Gaming!

It should be 15.4 MB, please ensure that you're running the patch as an Administrator account by right clicking on the patch installer and selecting "Run as administrator" (Windows 10).
If needed, please disable any and all Antivirus software you use as this may also be interfering with the patch installer.
Thanks.

Matthew, this is the same issue we are seeing with the "b" update. Rob and I think there is a glitch with the installer's logic and it is applying the wrong exe. Steam appears to be the correct exe version, but has other problems.

I am really sorry but after another re-installation of the game, running all installers/updates as administrator the FPRS.exe size is still 14,3 MB.

Hi guys,
We've updated the installers on our servers to fix the exe issue, hopefully if you had a problem with the 2.0.10b update, if you re-download and reinstall it will be fixed.
Please note that in some cases if you have anti-virus software on and cached files, it can requite a cleared cache and/or a re-boot to get things to re-download.
Regards,
- Erik

I am sure you will not believe me but when I click on the link in your former post it brings me to a V2010c download. I reinstalled the game, running all files as administrator, updated with V2010 c and in the end it reads V2010 ingame. [:(][&:][&:]

RE: How to update to 2.0.10b?
Now I have a Steam version reading 2010bs, a Matrix version supposed to be 2010c reading 2010, I am not able to play PBEM, neither classic nor PBEM++, played Germany Reforged Forward Defense PBEM++ and had to leave the game because it was unplayable due to error messages I have posted on the forum, tried the same scenario as NATO single player today and got error messages after a short time. Spend a lot of time installing, uninstalling the game, using file from the FTP server or updater without success and am close to a nervous breakdown [;)]
I am sure you work hard to solve my problems with the game and what others have posted. Just would like to know when you expect to have a version running for all of us?[;)]

If the installer you are running is named 2010c, then you've got the right one that was posted today, but it should be installing the correct executable now.
Could you try turning off anti-virus and reinstalling the game just to see if something is preventing the exe from installing? Also, please post a thread in the tech support sub-forum if that does not resolve the issue.
Regards,
- Erik

RE: How to update to 2.0.10b?
I did as asked but it still reads v2010.
I have so many games and have always be able to update them without any problems so I doubt it is my fault.
Will not post anymore, just wait and see if another update will be available in the future. Totally fed up with testing.

RE: How to update to 2.0.10b?
Hi TomBombadil711,
We have now found the issue in the files that were being delivered; if the user had Flashpoint Campaigns: Germany Reforged installed then the exe was incorrectly being omitted in the install process.
This has now been resolved.
The automatic updater will now deliver a file named as "FlashpointRedstorm-UpdateComp-v2010d.exe" but will still display "Version 2.0.10b" in-game. You can also download this patch directly from here.
Again, I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to yourself and anyone else experiencing problems with this patch.
