You are surprised that the AI got money when you play on extreme difficulty? The game is very breakable if you try to break it.
No, I'm surprised the DEV or BETA testers didn't catch it before the game was release. That's what surprises me.
This is a problem with most difficulty level increases. They give the AI more money which allows the player to exploit it. They should "reduce" the amount of money they offer for stuff and give in gifts. I get so much money in gifts on higher levels it's funny.
No devloper seems to realize to reduce certain things as difficuly goes up. Fine give them more resources that we have no way to get. But, reduce the payouts for everything by the difficuly level.
So let's say in the regular game the AI gives me 10000 for that mine. On the next higher difficulty it should be "REDUCED" by 10% or 20% to just 9000 or 8000 credits not increased to 5x the amount before to 50000 credits. I want to be able to make money selling mines but I don't want it to be so ridiculously high profit that it ruins the game for me. I need money for sure but not that damn much. As you increase difficulty the amount of what you can get from the AI should go DOWN not up.
As I said this happens in a lot of games where you can trade with the AI and on higher difficulties. Rome II Total War is like that and several others. It should be common knowledge as difficulty increases everything that the player gets from the ai decreases.
