Unit modifiers list reports - sorting

Post by Templer_12 »

What sort is used for the unit modifiers reports?
I can't see any sense there.

Hi Templer,

The reports are sorted South to North in the main tab. PG 1, AGS up top, for example, PG 4, AGN, down the bottom.

Within each individual report the divisions are sorted depending on their own internal ID.

Cheers,
Cameron

Sorting is a mess!

Post by Templer_12 »

The inconsistent sorting is very annoying![:@]

Sometimes it's: Nord, Mitte, Süd (north, center, south).
Then it's: Süd, Mitte, Nord.

A mess!

Hi Templer,

The AGx format is used in Aide de Camp report for reasons of space. Or lack thereof.

Would a simple fix be to just prefix the Panzergruppe n name with the AGx, e.g. AGN Panzergruppe 4, then putting them into the N, C, S order?

Lancer,

I don't think he is specifically complaining about the AGx typology, but rather that in the snip in the upper left the theaters are listed North Central South, as are the other green boxed items in the top right, but that the blue circled items in the bottom are in the order South Central North!

Exactly - the sort.
Green = from north to south.
Blue = from south to nord.

Hi,

Got it.

That's probably something that's realistic (the German reports at the time were a mixture of both sorting conventions) but realism is best handled with discretion.

I'll have a word to the compiler of reports.

Cheers,
Cameron
