noob question, is there any way to instantly load up a countries OOB?

Take command of air and naval assets from post-WW2 to the near future in tactical and operational scale, complete with historical and hypothetical scenarios and an integrated scenario editor.

Not too concerned about ground forces (although it would be great), mostly airbases with the appropriate aircraft and SAM defenses.

Like say if i want to make a scenario where country A wants to do some sort of attack on country B. It would be a lot of work to manually place units such as SAM batteries, stock airbases etc.. It would be even more work to make it accurate to what they have the in the real world

Is there a feature in game/community made that allows you to load up a ready made "country"? That way, I can allocate my effort into deciding what limited resources the player has to make his attack and to set up his initial starting position.

hopefully my question makes sense

Yes

Explained on pages 97-99 of manual
7.1.11. IMPORT/EXPORT UNITS
The import/export unit function is one of the most powerful tools in
the game. It allows editors to save/export selected units and groups
to a file and then import them into other scenarios at a later date or
shared with other edits.

We have already prepopulated thousands of these files so that many
of the airbases, air defense system or historical battlegroups might
actually be there – saving you time and effort.

It will then walk you through a step by step process.

Take a look at this post

Baloogan's videos are fantastic at quickly teaching things. Some god awful boring manual reading in there too but it will help.

Is there anything like a "Community Installation Pack", roughly analogous to the Scenario Pack? A single central location or collection of people's installation files?

Oddly this one never took off as much as we thought it would.

Blh and Kushan have links on Baloogan's site

This string as well

I love you

This is awesome.

Another quick question, assuming I say load an OOB of a country with airbases, and I stock the airbases with aircraft,

If i intrude their airspace and im hostile, will the AI scramble fighters to intercept by themselves? Basically does the AI task themselves intelligently? Or is that something you have to script yourself ala Arma 3?

No its a scripted AI like Arma so you add the aircraft to different missions (intercept, AAW patrol etc) which carry out different behaviors.

No, you have to set up missions for the AI with triggers and events and such.

May I asked in which country you are interested?

I was thinking of an iranian strike on israel, like say on the dimona reactor

Looks like we've got 2 nuclear power stations for Israel but no Dimona. Not exactly a hard add. Israeli Air bases and defenses seem to be there though.

As others have said, the AI needs to be scripted. One way to do this would be to set up an exclusion zone, marking any Units entering it as hostile towards the AI, in combination with an Air Intercept Mission to engage any hostile aircraft.

There's no "Win this scenario" button either.

Why the sarcastic reply? You made another sarcastic reply in my other topic for seemingly no reason. I asked legitamate questions. I never brought up a "win this scenario" button, i simply asked if the AI will task themselves, a valid question.

Also, my topic about performance was deleted. I assume it was you who deleted it because there was another reply in that topic by you that was unnecessarily harsh. I posted a long topic explaining my performance issues and at the end I offered a small suggestion to allow a 2d map option and you replied something along the lines of "No we dont want it" (not quite that nice though). Some other developer offered some helpful advice. Unfortunetly I already tried his suggestions (turning off range circles except for selected units, turning off high fidelity mode, etc..). I was gonna reply to my topic saying that I tried doing all this but found it deleted.

What gives? My topic wasnt bad mannered in anyway, in fact I praised the game. The other developers have been nothing but kind, so why the attitude with you? My issues with the performance havnt been resolved yet but I dont want to start a topic again because im afraid il just have it deleted again.

His voice sounds like Count Chocula in real life. Say this to him. He hates that.

everyone has is peculiarity, sunburn is indeed direct. I've learned to appreciate that in time. That was a mature way of saying you that your question is way out of the line: this is not the coca cola hotline, this is a restrict group of people that realized a big project and can't teach to everyone how this needs to be used.
What you are asking seems real stupid questions seen from a player perspective:

so like that? without doing nothing? just THEY KNOW?? I think NASA would be on a kind of artificial intelligence who can read your mind.
Read the manual, read the addendum, look few videos and everything will be bright to you;
by the way, this forum is full of links to them. check them out.
BCC the Baloogan chat server is the right place to ask those kind of question for example. But be warned, someone could decide not to answer ALSO there, if the question is stupid enough.
