Unffortunately this happens all the time and even though its automatic, you still need to keep an eye out for them. For important convoys, keep it manual.
Col Saito: "Don't speak to me of rules! This is war! It is not a game of cricket!"
My CS: convoys from Brisbane to PM used to go off toward Lunga after they got about 2/3 of the way to PM. So I stopped using CS: convoys before v2.30 came out. Have not tried them since then.
If I have to watch them every turn anyway I might as well do them manually. At least manually they don't seem to veer off course.

I'm only running into problems with ones that have to come north of Gili Gili or up to Irau/Lunga/Tulagi. The commander seems to think he would be better off going off to supply one of my small combat units out there doing hex dot grabs instead of doing what I told him to.
My regular PM and Luganville runs are doing fine.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the quality of the commander...maybe I should pay more attention to picking commanders for the transport forces too, and not just the combat TFs.
I'm essentially graphically and history oriented, unfortunately to connect the two I have to do maths. I hate maths.

I've sent three CS: heading for Gilli Gilli, half way two headed for Lunga and on went to Irua? This happened when Lunga and Irua had few supplies since I've built their supplies up I no longer have this problem.
I understood that only Routine convoys would take supplies to whoever needed them.
I've also had them NOT loading supplies and going empty when I initially set the CS: up. But this may be me??
I reported this bug in 1.0, and in every version since then. Continuous Supply convoys are not supposed to divert, but they do with infuriating regularity.
I don't know if they can't track it down, or don't consider it a serious enough issue.
This seems to happen more regularly when I'm using AVs as escorts...
maybe I'll stop doing this and find a better way to stop them from sitting in port. (AVs are another one of the things in this game that I haven't gotten around to really using yet)
