The attack on Yamamoto had a very low chance of succeeding. And with the Japanese air support cleared and with the success of the HQ support there was not much hope left. Only a 9 or a 10 would do the trick unless, of course, the Japanese decided to play it safe and choose blitz then a 10 would be needed.

Alas, the Japanese was not feeling brave and went with the blitz table so China lost with a nine.

Oh, well, it was fun. [:D]

No reorganization.

And with the next impulse the bad weather arrives.

Admittedly I have nothing tangible to compare it too, but it feels like the weather in this game has been consistently rubbish.

Oh well, so long as it stays that way when the Allies start coming back at the Axis... [;)]

I will not argue that you have had rubbish weather since that is my feeling as well. But not sure if it been much worse or not.

This turn, I believe, have had better than average weather. Yet I suspect you feel like you have had bad weather. And with the extremely bad winter weather you just had I do understand that you do not feel that glad when you get rain.

The Japanese attempt a ground strike against Soviet forces in Manchuria. Both the Japanese and the Soviets have two fighters. What do the Soviets want to do?

6 (DA) the Japanese player has to abort one aircraft. I choose the fighter obviously.
14 (AA) the Soviet fighter aborts.

I abort to the place it took off from.

Meanwhile in the Ukraine, the odds are -2 / +2 in the Soviet favour.

No Rail Movement

The Japanese manoeuvre in the mountains of southern China and land an infantry in Canton.

Two possible 2:1 attacks. The Japanese elect to try and clear the Liaotung Peninsula.

I rely on fractional odds to get a 3:1 so bring in no aircraft. I assume the Chinese will go for Assault as there is no where to retreat to.

The throw is a 6 and the Chinese lose a division, while the Japanese are all disorganised.
