Windows 10

Hi VPaulus,

I almost immediately get the little blue Win 10 nap.exe not working box. I even get an error in French in the Ageod settings menu.

This Dell Win 10 i7 3.6, 16 gigs, Nvidia GTX-745 with latest driver has been a nightmare. It's all me, as getting exact crash on the CMx2 games.

Any advice for a new Win 10 user?

For the record, CMANO, W40Ka, DB Case Blue all work, but they're on Steam.

have you tried running the nap.exe in compatibility mode for windows 7?

do you install all Redistributables from the main game folder?

DirectX, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, .NET Framework etc, add the nap.exe to the anti virus white list?

also seems you maybe having having problems with the video driver, so more than likely that tbh

i'm also a windows 10 64 bit user, so tend to load a few types for different ages apps, all are needed for one game or another as each game will use a different one, the latest one doesn't include all version, so what ever is in the folder for the certain game needs to be installed, if it says it's all ready on the system, re install it just in case, it will only over write, next thing is, as daft as it sounds, you also need the 32bit version installing on a 64 bit o/s, as the game will be written in most cases in 32bit code, so installing the 64bit version won't give it the files it needs.




Steam, doesn't also ask if you want or need Redistributables files, so each game on steam installs the set for the game and over writes each time a new game is added to a collection, while most other games either give it as a option or point to it in a read me or end of install message etc.

I'm sure you're right. The i7 will be a Steam machine for now.

Open the game installation folder, find a file named user userpath.ini and delete it.
Start the game and check if the issue persists.

nvidia's is about the only thing you don't need the 32bit unless you have a 32bit O'S, when it comes to video drivers, you only need the set that is needed for the type of O/S, and loaded both 32/64 isn't needed, it's one of those quirks and about the only one tbh

I had this problem, and support suggested running as Admin.
This seemed to fix it
