But Flav if I waited to Dunaberg there'd be a large excessive distance from my HQ's to FSB which would affect replenishment

I think you can grab Dunaberg quickly enough to take this risk. I'd say you're one turn away from getting it.
This may be a matter of taste, I dunno. Other future locations to move the FSB in AGN, just fyi: Pskov and Luga.
Leningrad is doable in two jumps, first Dunaberg, then Pskov. But maybe Kaunas and Pskov works too.

The logistics in DC3 is a game in itself. Loving it. And the graphs on all the stats. Just great.

This is great.
Learning so much on logistics in this.
AGN is out of fuel and only 6th Pz is able to move!
Learning a lot of lessons for my next game vs the Soviets.
Believe the key here has been in moving the FSB too early coupled with my panzers still running in Blitzkreig mode and not refitting = loss of fuel!
Nice. Never saw this in WiTE!

I'm travelling on business for the next day so there won't be any further play in that time. If anyone's got any comments, thoughts or questions fire away[8D]

Back from my work trip.
AGC after moves. Darn Garrison in Minsk which AI loves to easily place. Siege Artillery is 16 days away!
10th Army is now fully surrounded. If the AI doesn't react aggressively or retreat the Soviet forces west of Minsk may be encircled soon too.
Fully aware fuel could be an issue in the next few days as the FSB is relocating to Vilnius.
Learning so much in this first run. Next time I'll be doing several things differently. I'll carry this on though to keep learning

AGS post moves.
Fuel is an issue down here so I've resorted to cutting off and annihilating 10 Soviet Divisions west of Lvov.

RE: Speedy's 1st Try vs SU AI - Normal
For those interested the lessons I've learnt in this first run through so far:
1.) 'Brilliance' of the logistics model. I've played to date with much of WITE in mind which is un-surprising as I was a tester for it and played it a lot. The lack of fuel and the realistic limitations the model portray I like very much. I will adapt my future play with this more in mind.
2.) Siege artillery. The timing and placement of this is crucial against major cities with major garrisons. Must improve this.
3.) Pockets. Due to the logistics I will modify my pocket expectations. I.e. no major Lvov pocket a la WITE.
4.) FSB movement. This is crucial in terms of timing. The wrong time can screw your fuel levels and hence impact's your campaign massively.

Start of Turn 4. AGN.
Fuel is an issue for both AGC and AGS. I know why and will not be an issue as much in future games.

Yeah, us WITE vets have to unlearn a lot of stuff playing this game.
There's no shame in restarting btw. It's way too easy to make nearly crippling mistakes as the German early on, mistakes that you don't really recover from. Margin for error is low.

I probably will start again soon Flav. I won't be running till the end as there's too many errors I've made and I want to try other things against the AI before moving on to PBEM.

AGC pre moves. Fuel is sh*te due to FSB moving (bad timing). I will try and encircle the west of Minsk Soviets to test the AI and see if it breaks the encirclement

AGC after moves.
Lack of fuel hinders movement.
17 Soviet Divisions are encircled along with 3/4th Army west of Minsk.
Reduction of Bialystok pocket begins
