VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Operation Bagration thru the end of the war!

Similar, timeline, map and roles reversed. I love it already!

Yep, you get Hitler Paranoia instead of Stalin Paranoia! Hitler replacing good generals with SS lackeys, etc.

On the Russian side, rapid advances outstripping supply lines... but what does the "command" layer for the Russians become? The paranoia dynamic and the two "fixers" are no longer really relevant.

I think more in a WWI title, covering east and west until... early 1915, could be a fun game and with room for teamgames but maybe here engine needs be WEGO over IGOUGO.

I dont have now a lot of time for gaming and i am waiting better times to buy it but sure is in the list like many others [&o]

Actually this game engine would be perfect for the Second Sino-Japanese war from 1937 to 1945 - a massive conflict with huge consequences for the 20th Century, that has never been properly done. It's a conflict that can't be done without a sophisticated approach to politics and logistics, just as with DC3.

The Japanese player would be as focused on international relations, inter-service rivalry, and the huge difficulties of supplying their army as it expands across China... and then keeping up with competing demands from the Pacific and CBI Theatres after Pearl Harbour. The Chinese player has to try to drum up international support, maintain relationships with fractious regional warlords and communists, all while keeping rice and bullets flowing and holding things together for the long haul.

Would be so good. Not that it will ever happen... such a game simply wouldn't sell like another version of the Western Front... but hey, do a really good community editor and I'll do it myself!

i think the fact that most of us are dreaming about new campaigns before we have even finished our first speak volumes for this game.
