Editor problem UPDATE!!!

With the fantastic editor I have been able to create several historic aircraft types, but while the planes DO enter the game at the correct time, on the "availability" the dates read as "00/00 rather than (example) 10/43...
Is there any way to correct this for we mere mortal users?

Update:Following the advice given by our gret friends below, I did start a new game and every plane and ship which I created has been placed into the orders of battle with correct dates of entry, etc.

I had included smaller ARD's as well and the CPU was smart enough to assign captains for them randomly..


The editor is indeed "User Friendly", even for those of us who are detail and history nuts with a penchant for chrome.

Sometimes this happens if you add them to a scenario and then open a save game that has been using that scenario prior to the additions of that aircraft.

Have you tried starting a new game using the modified scenario to see if the problem persists?

I'll bet this is the problem as that is exactly what I did..
For some reason you cannot add newly created ships to a "saved game" but you can add planes and people.
