Scenario Question

Post by gtrpastor »

I was playing the scenario "Behind the Mareth Line," and I think I must be missing something. Playing the British, all I have are a few Jeeps. With them, I have been unable to claim victory points, or attack the enemy. All I seem to be able to do is to move around and spy out German locations. What am I missing?

Not in the game I was playing. I didn't check to see if they were expected. I'll have to play again and check that.

Good day.

The point of this scenario is to use the jeeps and leaders to destroy as many Germans as possible. It is, in essence, a commando raid against a convoy.

The jeeps can shoot at the targets.

Hmm... I tried shooting to no avail. I knew I must have been doing something wrong. I'll try again. Thanks.

Okay, I tried it again... I figured out what I was doing wrong. I kept getting the message: "No attacking units have been specified." I was trying to attack with Lt. Hunter and Major Popski. (I guess they can't assault). Doh! Once I figured that out, I went about harassing the Nazis and won the scenario.

Seriously, this is a fantastic game. It has that "one more turn" feel, and by in large it's pretty easy to grasp the concepts. One of the best wargames I've played (at least one of the most fun).

Thanks for taking time to answer my derpy questions. :)
