No sound card...

Post by Lord_Handzus »

I have a computer with no soundcard, and the game doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know what can I do to fix this, apart from buying a soundcard...

From posts I've seen in the past, no soundcard means no SPWAW. Maybe there's a work-around, but its probably easier to buy a cheap SC.

if I'm listening to Music (either online or CD) it is not possible to fire up SPWAW at all....even if my aim was to create maps in the editor and not play an actual game.

So it does look like no sound equals no SPWAW...and you don't want to miss out on this. So, get yourself a soundcard and join the fun! ;)

No soundcard no SPWAW, there are no workarounds for that. As far as listening to something else while playing SPWAW it's possible to run things like Winamp or some other music programs, it will not work well if your using the same media player that SPWAW uses to produce it sounds.

winamp and spwaw works fine

I wasn't able to listen to mp3's until I disabled all the ingame sounds. After that Winamp works great with sp:waw.

I'll have to try that...so I can listen to music while creating stuff! It's much more enjoyable to be able to listen to music while working on maps and scenarios...and it makes the process a bit more upbeat! :D
