Bad news - countdown on hold...
We thought we had a release candidate ready to go, but found several bugs we thought were fixed are still there. This means at least a 3-5 day delay to get things fixed.
We will continue to let you know our progress.

Just as you though you are getting a breaktrough from enemy, those nasty bugggers kick your ass harder than ever before
Keep up the good work!

Paul Vebber: I believe the last prediction I saw was saying "by friday (which in my mind would mean up to and including all of friday)" or something along those lines, so does this announcement mean that the prediction has shifted to 3-5 days from the time of today's announcement, or 3-5 days from tomorrow/weekend (which of course would be a longer wait)? Thanks

Alby: Yep, I would hate for both of us to get dissed. I suppose I'll have to spend the gaming time I'll allot, to SE4 for the most part.
SE4 was one of the classic cases that I run into every now and again. I have the habit of trying to play things almost entirely without a manual, so that it's sort of a adventurous mystery to play something new, and even when I do resort to the manual, it's unlike the old days where I used to underline more veiled points, but read it more into trying to figure out the spirit of the product so I can guess successfully. Goofy huh?
Anyway, SE4 I had put away for about a month, with a tad of reading the manual, and all of the sudden now it's really captured my interest and understanding. Sometimes learning is just like that; it works while you're away from it. I would suggest all games that we get fed up with in some way, to ALWAYS try it again one more time (IOW give it a day or two initially, and then another day or two, a week or more further down the line), because I think the user will often find that the time spent on something else, be that life or gaming, actually gathers things together without us being aware of how it comes together.
Paul Vebber: Thanks for the clarification.

The more we will wait , the more SPWAW5.0 will be a solid game in time...since it
seemed to be a milestone in the long trail of versions , SPWAW5.0 needs each possible testing before it goes..
I hope you Matrix do not feel forced to be in a hurry by our heartly support..

We don't want your anticipation leading to frustration.
We DO want to get the game as right as we can. That is our goal.
And every day of delay gives me another day to work on the Mega Campaign, making it just a little bit better and more exciting.
We've come up with some of the most interesting scenarios you have yet to encounter in Steel Panthers any version.
There is a lot more in MCNA than just sand and sun. I think you will be pleasantly surprised

:eek:Wild Bill, don't you mean that every day of delay enables you to make the MCNA harder for us to win? Please help us!!
But in all seriousness, take your time since a good product is better than a rushed one.
Thanks
