Are any of the depth charges air droppable?

See the thread I (AYAAD) started in regards to air-dropped depth charges.

tm.asp?m=3917017&mpage=1&key=depth%2Ccharge&#3917017

You have to make your own. The thread tells you how to do it.

And yes ... this is a major deficiency in the game.

I don't think it is a big deal.

Yes.

And it is a big deal.

And Matrix did add ASW as an air mission type for bomb codes.

To see a fully developed set of air dropped ASW devices, see RHS device files.
These include ASW torpedoes, Air ASW bombs, Air dropped Depth Charges, and their
cousins. They work. They require the use of bomb code 64.

It's a big deal if you use your airpower properly. It's a big deal if
you want to defend your surface ships from Japanese subs.

It's a big deal if you had family or friends on the Indianapolis, Wasp,
Saratoga or Yorktown.

Float planes were a useful outer screen ASW defense for American cruisers and battleships, especially when used in conjunction with destroyers.

Note that in American carrier operations the TF commander would task embarked squadrons for ASW defense in addition to their destroyer screens.

I am glad Matrix added back in the capability to employ these useful weapons.

This is very misleading and not an accurate representation of what "Matrix" did.

There is no such thing as bomb code 64.

Don't bother. There is no device which is an air dropped depth charge.

I've explained how to fudge the issue. You can either reread what I posted which is correct or you can be gullible and be sucked in by el Cid's snake oil charm representations which appeal to the gullible.
