US heavies return to target

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

US heavies return to target

Post by greg_slith »

Hello all,
I'm playing the Grand campaign as the allies and I've noticed something weird. Several times I've sent my B-17's and/or B-24's against targets in both the ETO or MTO only to watch them hit the target egress and, somewhere on the way back home, turn around and head BACK towards the target. Sometimes they will bring their escort with them other times not. The only thing that keeps this from becoming a total slaughter is most of the Luftwaffe are by that time heading back home either bingo or Winchester so losses are somewhat light. Any idea what's happening here? It doesn't happen every raid or with medium bombers or fighter bombers. Is there a step I'm missing or is there a work around?

Nope, it's a bug. AE last mod was suppose to eliminate it. Install it if you have not already. If you have, let him know and send him a copy of the save.

Any ship can be a minesweeper, once.
