Pricing and Discount Question

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Pricing and Discount Question

Post by monniker »

Hello and good day,

I'm writing because I'm considering purchasing Flashpoint Campaigns Red Storm and its accompanying DLC with some Christmas money, but I've noticed that on Steam I can buy the game with the expansion for 39.95, I believe, whereas on the Matrix site if I want both I must pay 49.99 (give or take a few cents).

Naturally, when possible I prefer to purchase from the publisher, but I am also sale-conscious. Is the pricing accurate and intentional?

Thank you very much for your time.

It's in the Steam sale..I'd go for the version with the DLC at that price. I'm sure Matrix wont mind where you buy it from. From my point of view as long as the developers get the same amount that's what truly matters.

If Matrix didn't want people to buy from Steam they wouldn't have let them sell the game in the first place:)..so don't beat yourself up about it

Welcome aboard. Anyway you can, buy it!(whichever is cheaper even better yet.) I try to support Matrix when I can, but life happens and you have to go where the money is. The game has a great "Quick start & Tutorial Guide" to get you going. This is really a great game.

Not sure why the costs are different, but that is out of direct control. The major difference between Matrix and Steam versions is that you get a Steam key with the Matrix version, but no Matrix key with a Steam version.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
