Only Daito Shoto requires a shock attack. I figure the guys will have time to build condos in the jungle at Naha and Nago (Milo? Are you reading this?).

Going from memory, Naha stacking limit is 50,000 and Nago is 35,000 (might be 30,000). The defenders are pretty close. The attackers will exceed, and do so to excess.

With the fortification levels that I figure are at those bases, it would be a whole lot longer than that to disable 50% of the squads by bombardment. It's going to be bloody. Naha has 2,873 AV going ashore, Nago 949 AV, and Daito Shoto 1,834 AV.

But my little electrons have spirit. They are the badasses of the lepton world.

Likely we caught them all in movement mode. All but the smallest one of our units will pursue. Pakhoi is invested and will be assaulted tomorrow. An enemy unit east of Lang Son is heading SW to get behind our troops that have advanced over the Chinese border. A para Rgt from Haiphong will block them.

Yamato has been revealed as "falsely reported sunk" which means that she is at Singapore. The repair yard there has only been repaired to 18,000 tons capacity but I think even the full 51,000 tons would be too small to fit Yamato. So, whatever shape she is in she is certainly vulnerable.

The assault gun unit just caught up and did not participate, but they will tomorrow if the enemy units are still present.

Our B-29 groups did not fly against Naha with heavy rains at the target. Now Naha scouts with 55F, 52B, 33A; Nago 45F, 25B, 28A; Amami Oshima 55F; and Daito Shoto 5F. It's going to be a hot time on the ground and at sea, why not in the air?!

Our convoys have been partially spotted and elicited comments from Email Tokyo. We are responding with disinformation. Considering the number of TFs spotted and their position and heading, it probably looks like the target is Daito Shoto. With 15 hexes to go to Naha, the convoys will move 5 hexes for the next two days and 4 hexes the following day to arrive at the final marker 1 hex out. 5 hexes per day will have the fortunate coincidence of putting all the Nago transports (and other ships) 1 hex out from Daito Shoto. Maybe two of our bombardment groups will get a shot at aircraft on the ground at night at Naha and Nago.

Have you thought of breaking up Chinese divisions to work behind the lines to cut supply? The divisions with just a few squads would work fine for this, just keep one unit back to rebuild the division until you get the free rebuilds. If nothing else it would give the enemy something else to worry about. I know that you could just air transport a few squads to do the same thing, but that could be gamey.

Yes, they will have to. But I have decided, personally - not a house rule, to withhold night bombing with the B-29s until January 1, 1945. So until then I will suffer with the daytime-only losses.

We are long past that stage. Did what I could of that early in the game but the Devious Admiral Wa is well aware of that tactic and actively countered it. Eventually all the cats were herded. As far as transporting by air: only if I owned an airbase, because the Chinese Army has no para drop capable units.

The Dutch DD ASW group operating out of Haiphong will patrol into Pakhoi. Likewise the CL TF off Haiphong will patrol to just south of Pakhoi. A task force of DM with 200 mines aboard is just south of Vinh and will run into to Pakhoi to lay defensive mine fields.

Soerabaja is now the only Imperial real estate on that end of Java.

Allied units are heading into Soerabaja but will wait for all earmarked forces to arrive before reducing the defenses.

We harvested a whole bunch of the best pilots from the USA 4EB operating against Java (for assignment to the B-29 groups), so ground strikes will be less productive there for a while.

Another 22x B-29-1 lost for negligible damage to Naha. Tomorrow our fleet carriers will be close enough to provide escort so the action will change character. The number of Imperial fighters in the Philippines is down dramatically, more evidence of reinforcing the Okinawa area.
