So I played as the Germans and right off, it is a bad scenario to be in. five matches played. Three Allied minor victories, to this I worked on delaying actions and holding the vital port of Messina. One Allied Major victory which accounted for me just giving up all the ground and holding the port. That was a bad tactic but I was going off the briefing which was..."Keep Messina, limit casualties and attempt to save as many assets as possible. To that end I accomplished it, but still lost even though I held true to the objective briefing. My most recent match, I held the allies to just 918VP while finished with 1098VP. Clearly I should have had at least a minor Victory but I was awarded a Stalemate.

I'm a bit dismayed at how low percentages these Axis units were. Also just how few German units there are. Now I'm not up on my history of regarding Sicily, but I was under the idea that there were more Germans on the island as a result of retreating from Libya/Tunisia. As it is, these units aren't on Sicily?? Since the German units were far superior to that of Italian, I'm not seeing that reflective either.

I want to mention here also that I attempted to drop a German parachute team but they take longer than seven turns to get ready???

Love the game so far... and I'm not wanting to experience the other scenarios until I can at least wager out a minor Axis victory, but if Americans are sending over fresh troops 100% vs that of Italians and two Germans, then it stands to reason no such victory is even remotely possible. Should remember that the Americans were also fatigued after the fighting in North Africa.
