Paratroops

Post by genehaynes »

Just bought the game. I'm having a problem loading paratroops. After clicking on a para unit located on an airport hex, I get the airplane icon as described in the manual. However I can't move it. The blue movement hexes continue to show ground movement range. If I click on the unit when the plane icon is displayed the unit "locks up" (i.e. I can't select it anymore).

I must be doing something wrong. How do I get the para unit to embark on a plane?

I'm on Ver 1.07

I think I figured it out. Don't know if this is how its supposed to work, but:

1. Clicked on paratroop located on an airfield hex. Airplane icon appears over the airport hex.
2. Clicked again on the para unit.
3. Go to HQ screen.
4. With para unit highlighted, click "go to unit" button.
5. Para unit is now in "airplane movement mode".
