Wrong troop type descriptions

Post by elmo3 »

Just noticed a number of the Soviet troop type descriptions are using German types instead. See the screen shot below for an example with the 37mm Flak unit. Also noticed this for the Soviet arty as well. Checked my file with your Volkov file and they are showing the same description. Not a big deal but just thought I'd mention it.

I need to reload your Soviet troop types into my scenario to get the changes. I made copies of your troop types in my scenario directory and loaded them from there since at one point I was planning on making changes but decided against it. So should I copy your new Soviet troop types to my scenario directory and then reload them into both the Soviet historical library and into the simple editor library too? For some reason I continue to struggle with how this library should be loaded so as not to duplicate it like I did before.

When you have created your own troopType libraries you'll have to adjust the descriptions in your libraries manually.

Just reloading your troopType library after that in the Simple Editor will do the trick.

OK, thanks. Got your revised troop type library loaded and the descriptions are correct now. However something very odd happened. After loading your new Soviet troop type library and starting up my scenario, the morale changes I had made in the Soviet historical library were gone and Soviet morale was back to the previous level. I had to reload the Soviet historical library again to fix that problem. Wasn't expecting that.

Its basically just saving the game that will reset all the units to their models historical morale.

Might want to do that automaticly in a future version.

Furthermore uploaded version M with extended debug function to fix the issue with duplicates inside your trooptype library. Just run the fix problems in the debug tab. Should do the trick.

OK, so 0.79M fixed the duplicates. I still see one odd thing but it's not hurting anything and probably not worth wasting your time on it. When I go to the replacements table and look at the list of replacement troop types I still see the armored car as the last entry in the table even though I am not using my old troop type library with the armored car in it. Somehow the program remembers that entry and did not remove it in debug mode, I guess because it was not a duplicate.
