Update problem

Update problem

I've just updated to 1.02 but the game will not now load, On opening the shortcut and pressing start game a window opens saying "we cannot find Barbarossa/exe".

I've closed the computer and started again but always same message.

Help much appreciated

either way all is not lost, try and do the update again one last time, and if now it doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall and update from scratch, as that will cure any other bad install or error, good look

Do you mean uninstall the whole game or just the update ?
If I uninstall the whole game I think I will need the start code (or whatever its called) no ?

you should have the code in the email which was sent when bought, but if not just save this file before you uninstall it and reinstall if needed

copy it somewhere safe before you uninstall it, as it has your code in it, then just cope paste the code into the box when asked / needed.

the developer may have another way if you wish to not uninstall it, but it's the only way i know for a bad or faulty update, you could try to re do the update first and see if that helps, as it's worth a try as you have nothing to loose as it only will overwrite what you already have, good luck

sorry for being a bit thick with computer stuff: I have recorded the serial code (success).
When I want to install the game where do I go to download it ?
I've only ever downloaded a game when I bought it, off the email message received. I dont think I have kept that email. Do I have to then contact Matrix and ask them to send it to me again ?

Just open a tech support ticket or contact http://www.matrixgames.com/support/ with your order details (order reference number or/and email address used when placed the order) and they will provide you with new download links.

ok I'll try that.
(and same issue for Hannibal which you've been helping me with. Trouble with that is I bought the game many years ago so may struggle to remember the email used. oh well)
