An attempt to sneak an AKL in there to grab him failed as it was torpedoed one hex out of Calcutta. The saga continues...

The only thing for it is to launch a full scale amphibious invasion of Cox Bazaar to rescue him/her/it. Its the only way to be sure.

The word "corps" implies this are at least 2 persons imo. [;)]

Maybe it's a typo and they left the "e" off the end. In that case it would be singular, you'd have to add an "s" for more than one.

Next time, just pick up one squad/device at a minimum. The fragment becomes the unit when the main part dies off.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

The loneliness is over! I assigned some Blenheims out of Calcutta to make a supply run and toggled replacements on. Still only making 2 miles a day but the adjacent Japanese unit marched SW into Cox's Bazaar.. so there's hope !

Isn't it a disabled squad? Emaciated, feverish, moribund soldiers trying to reach their destination?

They should show up under 'other troops'

May want to check the pulse on them

All these good UN boys needed was a supply drop of smokes, rum & chocolate bars. Now they's ready to defeat facism. [;)]

1.  You do realise units move more rapidly if they are in "move" mode rather than "combat" mode?

2.  The replacements supplies purchase price was paid by the Chittagong supply depot, not from the Blenheim air dropped supplies.

That's why I don't play against humans. My brain doesn't work right. How on earth did I forget to change that after all this time?

Good point, I toggled replacements the same turn I did the drop, and it didn't register in my head that way. See above re: broken brain.

Not yet... changed to move mode and getting 3 miles per day instead of 2. Sent subs in on sub transport, couldn't load, and found some threads explaining only Allied SSTs can load troops. A single AKL is approaching with LRCAP overhead, hoping for the best. I could just wait for them to march but I wanted to see how it worked out.

If a sub has a cargo capacity, then it should be able to collect a device other than squad. One 3.7 AA gun or Lewis device should fit into the sub, provided the device's load cost does not exceed the sub's cargo capacity.

Trying to select the unit for loading it said the unit was not in move mode. But it was. Tried combat mode as well, it still complained the unit wasn't in move mode. I just shrugged my shoulders and moved on.

Having an order to move somewhere will disallow you from loading it onto the TF. Try cancelling the move order (which also cancels your movement progress, so make an interim save) and then loading.

It's also just one observor corps, so...

Not anymore, he got some friends when I toggled replacements on! (see above.)

This has really just become a fun little pet project while I let the AI do most of what it wants... so it isn't messed up by mid 42. It seems to have stopped doing much of anything anyway despite running on very hard for 3-4 turns a month, and KB being intact (lost 1CVL on a silly raid).

Depending on the script that was started with this game, the AI might begin doing some things later on. It might be waiting for the pieces. For example, I've seen the AI try to raid Pearl Harbor again in late 1942 or 1943...

Try cancelling the move order and then picking up by the sub transport TF.

You should also be able to airlift out of that hex if you use float-capable patrol or transport (non-existent for Allies) planes.
