I have a proposed date...

... the weekend of June18-20, 2004. This is the weekend of Father's Day, school's out, and everyone can bring their families. Besides, I can celebrate my 47th birthday (June 17) with you guys. Whaddaya think? Here's another site relating to the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor: http://www.armorfortheages.com/New%20Museum%20page.htm If you go to Mapquest.com, you can get directions on how to get to anywhere from anywhere. I used it for Charleston WV to Ft. Knox KY. Approx 4 hrs 42 min. Now, If we could find a Holiday Inn or something similar close by, we may be able to get a convention rate. I'm getting excited about this and will help however possible.

The time frame is fine with me, Glenn. Birthdays! My, oh my. They do come around don't they? Happy anticipated birthday for this year and more to come my friend!

Some folks my age say they hate birthdays. Personally, I am very thankful for them. That means I'm still around and can celebrate it personally ;)

That weekend sounds fine to me, but let's hear from the rest of the gang before we carve it in stone.

And, I can't take total credit for this. The whole idea of the Aberdeen meet (which lead to our current plans) came from an invitation M4Jess sent to me. I only suggested we open it up to the group at large.

Sounds like a plan. Let me know when and maybe Jess might drive up and join us.

God willing, I'll be there, with my walker ;) and try to hang with you guys! I may be able to help with some inside sources at Fort Knox, IF they are still around.

Hi, OK go ahead and move it. I'm moving to Aberdeen in a week. Maybe I'll hitch a ride with Jess. (Jess I hope you like hot seat Steel Panthers)

If I remember correctly, when I was there in March thru April, they were allowing people to get onto Ft. Knox to see the Museum, but I think you needed to call ahead and arrange it. I will call this Monday and see what I can find out. Also if there are any I.D. card holders going they can probably sign you in as long as everyone has a valid picture I.D.. I wish I could go, but alas the only time I get to go is when the Army pays for it.:D

That would be much appreciated, but since this event isn't for another 11 months, there's no rush on it.

J propose a Spwaw convention in Europe.

Places: Normandy;
Cassino (Italy);
Berlin;
Nijmegen (Holland);
Gela (Italy).

Sergio, I think a European SP:WAW convention would be a wonderful thing. :)

How about the rest of our European members? Who's in favor of the idea, and what locations would you suggest?
