try this:

Run "Autorun.exe" so the EDBTR/Matrix startup menu appears on your screen (as you see below). Keep this running in the background.

Then run the launcher for the patch.

Alter Ego

Did a fresh game install, patched to 1.02 and then your Mod. I have Windows 7 on an i7 multicore computer; your Mod works just fine.

I, and all here, are so very grateful for you dedication and work.

Thank You again, Sir!

How about a comprehensive post that lists all of the required downloads, links and installation instructions for this mod? So far, I found the link for the dll v76

https://cloud.gmx.net/ngcloud/external? ... y@gmx.de#_

But some of the posts suggest other programs as being necessary, depending on system configuration. It is all kind of confusing. It looks like most of the data is in a readme in the download, but maybe it should be listed here?

Well, here is the info that I have about it.

Needed programs to run the AEEditor 1.02.076_SE (with old WinXP):

- Microsoft .NET Framework 4;
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2008;
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2010;
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2012;
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2013;
- Microsoft Service Pack 3 for WinXP.

Patch 1.02.076_SE Readme.txt is in the attached file, you can read or download it.

This begs the question of Win7 compatibility...?

Well...no.
Alter Ego made editor with Win 7(?)/10(?)...I don't remember, sorry, but the above list of required programs are suggested to me because with my WinXP the editor .exe doesn't work. If you have Win 7 or something like this try to read the editor .txt in my post#208.

Found some ID inconsistencies in AE's editor in regards to radar stations, at least as far as the 43 campaign is concerned. Editor name on the left, game display name on the right

Ameise Eggebek
Bock Peenemunde
Buffel Westerland
Faultier Barth
Faun Flensburg
Fledermaus Leck
Klintholm Greifswald
Krokodil Straslund
Nobolle Travemunde
Reistrup Kiel
Robbe Husum

Same thing again, but from Creeper's editor. Actually, for those who have never looked, most of the radar stations in this editor are just named Search. No indication on how the display name is arrived at.

Hello Folks...I'm very sorry that I was not available here at the forum since 3 month or so.
My last flight was terrible; was shot down over enemy territory and heavily wounded!
Currently I'm arrested at Stalag 13, but I'm sure that I can escape and could continue my work!
Thank you all for the PM's and emails; please continue to post bugs!
Thanks again for your patient!

Hi Toffi,

Could you please let me know how you managed that? Was that in Visual studio or something?

Quite interested to know how the attacks are calculated.

Thanks

ORIGINAL: Toffi

A good method imho is to inject a dll (dynamic link library), so
we were able to 'hijack' some of the gamecode and replace it with
improved and/or bugfixed code then. Or we could add some new features.

A first step I made a few days ago was to hijack the "airAttack.6"
function, which is responsible for dogfights (fighter vs. fighter).

Alter Ego, thanks very much for the work you've put in on this. I hadn't looked at this forum for a while as I though it was long dead so seeing your work was a very nice surprise, now I think its time to spark up the old girl again.

Cheers

AlterEgo, Message Reader application doesn't shows messages with your patch, but it's not a really problem because your editor can shows all messages (exept for inability to export messages into CSV files like with Message Reader)

but there's a little problem, I noticed it when playing pbem as luftwaffe in battle of britain scenario, editor showed to me data of english production, and promotions of english officers.

It's not a bug I think. It is an editor, you're able to see all from both sides. Don't use it in pbem.
