Finally we have Celine Dion with My Heart Will Go On - a lovely song (sadly associated with that hideous pile of trash that was Titanic).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmbw8OycJrE

But what Sarah Brightman did with this is just beyond mere words...

That exquisite voice singing in Italian, the beautiful harp, the strings that tear your heart out and above all, the horn section (beginning at 2:58) that simply leaves one a blubbing, defenceless wreck prostrate on the floor....

There are not words adequate enough to describe the beauty of this.

Ennio Morricone's 'Gabriels Oboe' set to words. Just.Ball-Bouncingly.Beautiful.

I agree Robert, but she doesn't use or have any vocal vibrato [:(] which I think would really add to it. [:)]

I still haven't properly listened to Symphonies 1,2,3,4 or 8.

I will make a concerted effort to do so in the coming weeks. I still think the 6th is my favourite so far.

The only thing worth mentioning for these tunes, is I have dealt with some serious depression and these songs have kept me alive.

The lyrics are what it's all about.

On A Good Day

Hold On To Me

Out of Nowhere

I should mention, this is actually 3 tunes I got off of my son. This is just a sample of what my son listens to. He was never told to "turn it down" when I was raising him :)
Wargame, 05% of the time.
Play with Barbies 05% of the time.
Play with Legos 10% of the time.
Build models 20% of the time
Shopping 60% of the time.
Exlains why I buy em more than I play em.

What a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful song [&o][&o]

I have fallen in love with this voice, so delicate, so feminine, like a softer, more fragile Ellie Goulding.
