Unit info panel

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Unit info panel

Post by Amicofritz »

As the game evolves, many of your divisions gain vital bonuses for f.ex. bravery/commendations etc. After a while it gets difficut to keep track of which ones. Therefore, it'd be a great help if these bonuses showed up somewhere on the unit info panel, along with posture, whether it receives Luftwaffe/artillery support/command focus. As it stands now, you need to scroll down into every HQ Unit modifiers list to locate these bonuses.

Some graphical love for commended divisions would be great chrome... +1!

I have a similar problem for units I gave a non default replacement priority or a high loss tolerance. After a few weeks it is hard to remember which ones still need it.

Ideally all these searches should be added to the OOB table.

Hi,

There is a limit to how many icons (like posture) can be place on the Unit info panels before the name of the unit is obscured.

We've already hit the limit as it's possible for units to get a full set of icons with the right circumstances.

Cheers,
Cameron

Potential elegant solution-- change the color of the *counter* on the map. "Elite" units get one color, "troublemaker" units get another.

Voila-- useful chrome.

Yes, strongly support some way of recognising commended units on the map!

Not sure about changing the colour of the counter itself, but maybe change the colour of the text and the divisional graphic itself from white to gold for bonus, and to a light red or something for "disgraced" units.

Although I don't think it's mentioned anywhere in the manual, you're allowed to rename your divisions. However, you're limited to a maximum of 5 characters for the label used for the counters on the map. You could replace the last character of a unit's name with a * or a + if a unit gains vital bonuses.
