Hello All;

I must admit that when I first read about the Gameplay Videos I was not sure if they would be worth watching.[>:]
I already know that I am getting the game so why watch someone else play?

I was wrong. Way Wrong.
First off - the game itself is fantastic and the play is incredible.
More than once I was yelling at the screen "DO NOT Move There - you will be tore up!" and then I went to type it in quickly and remembered I was watching the Replay Video - NOT The Live Feed! [:D]

Honestly - after watching the first 2 installments of Bruno I swear I can fire up the game myself and jump in right away and start playing - Which I suspect is one the goals of showing the videos!

Thank You So Much Peter for your hard work - dedication and excellent product!
And Many Thanks to you idjester for doing these Videos!

[&o] [&o]
I spent half my money on Wargames - Women - Booze and Gambling. The other half I wasted.

Thanks for your kind words Storm72!

TotH is a complex game but I tried to create as easy to use interface as possible. Sure the interface is different compare other similar games but that is due to the game rules complexity. However the interface is very to use, I wanted the user to focus on th strategy and not think about the interface. Left click to select a unit, right click to do action (like move or fire)...that's it ;)

I am glad you enjoyed the videos because I try and make it as helpful as I can but also a fun watch at the same time.
I am sure there were times when I moved units there were many players yelling at their screen "don't to it..." but they
were also yelling don't do it when my heroic fallschirmjager made a heroic charge across the open bridge drawing
tons of enemy fire which lead the way for many units to flow in behind them.

Sadly their last 50 feet would be their last as they sadly dies a heroic death... But their deaths will bring honor
and victory to the motherland as we now have a foothold on the other side of the bridge to assault and root out the
enemeies.

Peter should take all the credit though as all of his hard work, those long hours, and lost hours of sleep will finally
be upon the people to enjoy his creation. Feb 25th will be a day long remembered as the Day of the Tiger...

It's nice to know that there are people enjoying the game ;)

What I really like about ASL is that the game tells a story. Example, a German elite with a heavy machine gun is giving hell to the GIs trying to storm the building. The GIs are really in a world of hurt, then a Sherman shows up, scores a critical hit on the building. The building collapses and as a result kills the German squad with the heavy MG, wow!!! This happened 10 years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I wanted this kind of story telling in Tigers on the Hunt...and I hope I have achieved that :)

I remember when I got into ASL, it was October 2005. When I got my copy of Beyond Valor, I looked at the counters and thought - you gotta be kidding me about the blunt counter art. However, once I started playing and those bullets started flying I was totally hooked on day one, I totally forgot about the counter art issue ;) Now I think the ASL counter art is just fine the way it is :D

The Story is the ultimate cool part and watching it unfold is sometimes hair raising!
The ASL Play was great but the charts and counters and books and addendums and binders and.....
Yea we all been there.

Loving the fast moving interface of ToTH - the only lengthy downtime is thinking what to do - or NOT do next. Which is as it should be.

Thanks idjester for the final installment on Revenge for Bruno.

Like you said after you broke the Russian initial defensive line pretty much the house of cards came crashing down.
It is an interesting scenario though and being an old ASL'er, there is a lot of potential! I like the design. It keeps the German thinking all the time.

Big Ivan

Thanks Big Ivan..... You will be happy to know I have made some changes to the scenario after the playthrough. I noticed
that the defenders were not getting their full potential because of some blocking terrain. So I fixed that. Moved some of
the defenders around, and changed the landscape of the map slightly to get the defenders a better LOS at some locations.

The Germans lost a tank, and a few squads. They lost their mortar and the HMG as well, both of these were replaced by
some LMGs to balance the losses.

With these changes I think the AI defender could give the human a real run for their money now. It will be harder to break
through, and the defenders are in better positions to not allow an end run around their flank. Getting across the bridges will
be more dangerous so the Russian now have better sight into places the Germans want to go.

I did keep it 9 tunes because I think it will now take the Germans longer to breakthrough, and harder to press up once they can b
breakthrough. I loss of the tank is going to hurt the Germans advance so you have to make best use of all of your vehicles or else
you have no chance of getting through the Russian lines.

I have updated the scenario to version 1.1and sent it to Peter and if he wishes he can include it into a patch or something so you
guys at home can give it a go and report back to me on your progress.

You did a great work designing this scenario Idjester. It is fun to watch your scenario unfold in the videos. Tuning the AI can sometimes be a bit of work. You change this and test the scenario and things happens you didn't think of, so you have to get back and make some new changes. It is great fun [:)]

I expect we will see many great scenarios from you Idjester
