How the hell to place units in setup phase

Post by lerugray »

I feel like the game is unplayable, no explanation how to place units. I've tried 5 different scenarios and every time there are no units on the board, there is no option to place them from anywhere and i feel like im going to cry. help

In many scenarios already have all the units on the map, which scenario are you having issue with ? In order for a unit to be available for placement, the scenario has to be designed that way.

specifically even the first tutorial and normal scenarios. I picked the germans. There are no units for me to pick anywhere. I hit turn end and just nothing keeps on happening. I cant place any units from anywhere

Have you tried scrolling the map ? in Full screen move, move the mouse to the edges of the screen to scroll the map, or you can use the arrow keys. In Windowed moved, only use arrow keys to scroll the map.

I've found this not a game you jump into on four hours sleep :)

All the "mistakes" have been my own. I do feel the learning curve will be less than WitE though. Gotta watch every tutorial and do the manual. LOS I was looking for lines to drag and realized the units you can see are highlighted. Duh.

Yes, it's a bit of a hard core...old school kind of wargame :) You can read the manual, section 5.4 section is example of play and section 9 is HOW-TO. You can also watch tutorials made by Jorgen or by idjester...

Enjoy!
