wrong side in grand campaign

hi i recently found steel panthers: world at war after owning steel panthers (I) since 1996 and playing it serveral time a year.

in sp i allways played the grand campaign and so did i this time with spwaw
after playing the germans first time i now started the russians in 7/41 and noticed that i am allways on the left side (west?)
is there any possibility besides loading the savegame into the editor and changing the side manually for each battle?

sorry if this was asked before but i got several hundred results after searching
