Turn 5. May/June 1940. Axis #7. Japan. Land Combat. China.

Japan also carries out three land combats in China. And like Germany, all three succeed in taking their objective. However, two of three resulted in the loss of a Japanese unit and all three resulted in units becoming disorganized.

Turn 5. May/June 1940. Allied #8. CW. Naval.

The CW takes a naval and uses that to replace the 5 CPs sunk and 4 aborted in the Cape St. Vincent sea area. They also use the naval to seek out and destroy Italian ships and convoys. The first sea area in which the British RN and Italian RM meet up is in the Eastern Med.

The Eastern Med. CW and Italy Naval Action.

Round 1 goes to the British.

Turn 5. May/June 1940. Allied #8. French. Possible Land Combat. Cancelled.

French forces position themselves to counterattack the German spearhead in the north. However, the best they could manage was a +2.1 on the assault table, which after HQ support would be +3.1A attack. This attack has only a 10% chance of succeeding (i.e., recapturing the hex) and was cancelled.

As a French player (if I have time) I break down weak corps to get div to every front line hex.

Now Allies should give coastal hex to CW units, form as solid line as possible and make sure they have a unit behind every hex to prevent German break through. Empty Paris, German PARA is killed so that reinforcements come close to front line.
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Thanks for the tip. I'll hope to put it in action as the French player.
