Touch Screen

Post by Gerry4321 »

Installed on a Surface Pro 3 and seems fine. Can select units for example but still need CTRL key of course.

Is there a way on a touch screen to scroll the map? Something analogous to moving the mouse to the edge?

Thanks,

Gerry

I have a surface pro 3 too, I have tried to get the windowed option to work, but I cant, but keys like control and cursor keys still would be a problem, so unless they make program adjustments it wont work, but if they do its a whole new market for them, id much rather use a tablet

that's a hardware issue then maybe as if the software on the device doesn't work with it, not sure how to solve or correct that without a tablet to try it on in the first place [:(]

all you need are a couple of onscreen toggle buttons, for CONTROL Key and cursor keys and a toggle for right-mouse button, the keys need to be added to the engine, so Peter would have to put them in, its terribly simple to add this to a program, and to open-up a new market for tablet play is well worth doing

If you want to scroll you can touch the screen, drag your finger to the bottom, and then hold it there while it scrolls. I did this earlier on my SP4.

you can scroll but you need access to control key, escape key, alt key, righttoleft - mouse-click-toggle. all on a touch screen with no keyboard, the good news is its supersimple to do(add a couple of buttons so some keys & right-click could have toggled state. Ive done it to my games took 15mins, just add a button to switch on-off a variable , then have say control key function copeied as another function but with the toggle variable as a test rather than control key). the bad news is Peter is probably well to busy , but who knows

I have a free wargame I adapted for the surface, if anybody wanted to see
