Just wondering if anyone has discovered how spotting works and its relationship to cover and concealment.

My understanding is that there is no concealment per se. If your unit is in LOS of hex X, then it will see any enemy units in X. If those units moved out of your LOS, then of course you wouldn't know where they had gone to (bit better than ASL but not as much FOW as in say the CM series.

There is no concealment in the game, if you have a LOS to target hex then you will see what's in the target hex. Keep in mind that enough hindrance can actually block LOS.
