Scratching the itch- Closed

Post by perkinh »

It seems life got in the way....but i hope it has stepped aside for a while. I haven't played in a while and the monkey is doing a tap dance, so i am thinking of giving it a scratch.

I am a JFB ( love me some Mogami and Kagero class) but i am open to playing as the allies. I have played several games into late 45, though for the life of me i don't know why an allied player wants to. I am a boring player as any of my past opponents will tell you. i am not going to go invade Canada or India, and quite frankly dont care about the points. My interest are in the late 42' to early 44' game. I like the time when the parity is closer and the battles bloody and the outcome is in question. The time where a mistake means something and makes you pucker when you see the battle animation. I will monkey with the economy and my strategy to try and offer the Allied player a good battle into 44'.

So guess i am looking for an allied opponent that isn't looking to invade Japan in 45', and gets bored when the outcome is certain and is ready to move on. I enjoy the game and my interactions with the players, but i am already married and i am not looking for a lifetime commitment. When the early turns are through i generally do 2 turns a day. One in the morning over coffee and one at night over....well a glass of sweet tea( quick drinking, smoking and cussing) well 2 of 3 anyway.

Scene 1 stock, vanilla, plain jane, boring....but i guess i am open to some small changes.
One of the serious problems in planning the fight against American doctrine.... is that the Americans do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligation to follow their doctrine
