A co-worker, whom I trust as more than anyone other than my wife and some guys I have run into burning building with, has a child who is doing a project for WWII pacific theatre. She asked for help in obtaining some things for this project. Kind of a scavenger hunt for the class to find things associated with the campaign.

She is borrowing the following: A 1/350 full hull Fletcher DD in a case, an 1/144 A6M5, a shadowboxed 48 star US flag from 1944, samples of beach sand from both Iwo Jima and Peleliu, 1/700 models water line of Kagero class DD, and an EC-2.

She asked me if I had one or two things on this list she read off and walked away with almost the whole list from my desk area... [:D]

And pieces of Coral. Another co-worker has done some research on the island and I built her a 3-D GIS model of the island and my reward was stuff she brought back from her two trips to the island.
