Dismounting

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Do Mech infantry units automatically dismount when attacked?

No. They have to be force off current orders for forced to leg mode due to losing too many carriers.

Jeff is correct if the unit is assault moving. Units that are in deliberate move or hasty that come under fire will drop into screen which unloads the grunts to fight and find cover. Assaulting units try to continue to move on an objective before unloading. If a unit takes carrier losses the unit can be rudder to slower leg movement or if a unit takes losses and scoots away it can enter screen and unload to fight.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
