New Pacific War Update Message Board

Istfemer, Brad, and I have teamed up to work on new updates / improvements to Pacific War. In support of this effort, we have started a new message board "Pacific War Update" where we can focus specifically on game improvements. All you Pacwarriors are welcome to check it out, and join the board if you want to make comments, suggestions, etc. The board is located at:

I've just posted a new update to the PAC.EXE file, version 3.2.3, which adds the ability for players to toggle fighter aircraft to fighter-bombers and back again. Hopefully the upgrade efforts so far are only the beginning of some significant improvements to the game.

Same here. The point of a separate forum was so we could organize ourselves better than we can here, and have the ability to do things like maintain lists of priorities which we can check off and edit as things are accomplished.

I hope everyone here will at least stop by. Suggestions always welcome, and if anyone wants to join in and help that would be great.

I've been around pacwar for 17 years. That's not anywhere near a record.

But I can observe that while interest wanes at times it comes back when someone does something with the game. The Matrix Edition was a huge boost to interest. I'd say that without that, at this point the game would be dead.

Just went back to the good ol' PacWar forum out of curiosity (well, bored at work...) to see if it is still alive - to discover the ongoing update work.

Jeez, guess I need to give 3.2.12 a go!

what is the exact name of the LAST VERSION of this PAC.EXE file ?

and also, where this last PAC.EXE file version can be dowloaded ?

Hey guys, Definitely come and check out the latest version 3.2.12. It's still a work in progress, but seems to be quite stable. Comments are welcome. You may even help us find a bug.

I downloaded yesterday the last version [3.2.12] and I begin to take a look at it.

can someone say me where I can find the differences with the standard Matrix version and with the previous versions of this updates ?
