Breaking Bad

I'm loving this game having never played ASL. But I find it frustrating that my units - nearly always German - break quite easily. Is there any way of stiffening their resolve?

OK, just kidding. Try keeping them in better cover. Units under fire will break, have a good leader there to rally them often. One of the best defense is a good offense. Shoot the enemy and break them first if you can, broken units can't fire on you so if you break them first then you won't be under fire as much. Target enemy units that have HMG or MMG first, those units can cause major problems and if you can break them and cause them to rout they will leave the guns behind so you won't have to worry about those guns causing problems anymore.

Watch some videos of some gameplay this might help you understand when and how to do things better...

Another tip...if you don't need to move far during the movement phase, or it's real sketchy surroundings, use assault movement. Assuming rules are similar to ASL, the defenders get a bonus to their shooting if you're moving at a full clip.
