Playing Scenario "without" Maps

It looks like you can download a scenario and play it without downloading the map also? Just did this for War of the Rats and I don't have Map Z in my map folder.

So it looks like the map is linked into the scenario? IIRC someone else mentioned this.

This would make things a lot easier. For example if there are scenarios for 10 different renditions of Map 1 you don't have to worry about saving all those maps.

Hadn't noticed that but if the map data is embedded directly into the scenario file that would be great since no one would have to worry about downloading and install all the extra maps unless they were designing stuff.

This correct. The map is embedded into the scenario file.

Yes, scenario file has its own map. The scenario map can be create from scratch by using the editor interface or by importing a map template file. Once you import a template map file, you don't need the template as the map is now part of the scenario file.
