SS O-19 finds a large convoy at 105,124 near Rabaul and scores a hit on xAK Misaki Maru. The escort is on the thin side and fails to find the sub. So much so that O-19 stalks the wounded merchant and sends her down with 2 more torpedo hits.

Way up north the Soviets continue their pesky interference. SS L-9 scores a torpedo hit on xAKL Kanjo Maru at 106,56 near Hiroshima/Kure.
L-9 continues to stir up international trouble by putting a single torpedo into xAK Gozan Maru. Kanjo Maru is lost but Gozan will make harbour and have the damage repaired.
Japanese High Command is incensed. There is no communique to Moscow.

Leading pilots. I took the opportunity to give my second leading pilot a break in TRACOM after he had scored his 10th kill. Within a couple of days he lost his life in a training accident!!!
