Launcher blocks Steam Download + Screen Size question

1. Whenever I launch Flashpoint Campaigns, it stops the current download in Steam. Can this behaviour be changed?
If I am downloading something on Steam, I don't want the download to be stopped by launching Flashpoint Campaigns.
I am working on mods for Flashpoint and every time I start the game, my Steam download stops.

2. I run a 27 inch monitor with 2560x1440 resolution. I would prefer to play Flashpoint at 1920x1080 but there is no option to select screen resolution. If I edit this in the .ini file, the game changes it back to default. Please add a custom resolution option like in all the other Matrix launchers.

Toby,

The allow or stopping of Steam downloads in background are a Steam setting. I'm not aware of anything we are doing that would stop that external Steam function. I will double check that with Rob this evening and also check on the resolution issue. That's not a simple fix for the older graphics engine that we are based on, but it is something we are talking about for Southern Storm and the next version of the game engine. Thanks for posting.

A bit more info on the blocking downloads on Steam. There is a global setting under Steam, Settings, Downloads, under Download Restrictions there is a check box to Allow downloads during gameplay. Each game has a setting as well, so go to Red Storm, right click and select Properties, Updates tab, then change the drop down box to either follow the global or not allow downloads or allow downloads. That should fix the issue.

I've fixed the download issue, thanks for the tip.

Another question that's come up while I'm going through the tutorial is how can I increase the size of the mine icons?
There are small icons in the 'custom' folder (I didn't put them there), can I safely remove them to see large icons again?

Yes, just take the small ones out of the custom folder.
