Interesting idea and I'm glad your putting this together. Get all of the details put together and create a info sheet and I will use it in my next live stream to introduce it to players who watch the video.

I would also be interested in playing in the campaign game and would live stream my results so everyone can see it...
idjester, Pallus is working on helping Peter with the update and hasn't posted any 1st Mission information that would give away the situation, map or otherwise and since I think you were the 4th person to show interest (besides the 3 that jumped on board initially) if you want to have a go at running through the game as 1 CO/2 BN/233 RGT/102ID Commander I can get you the files. Just let me know.

Woooooow man...that's....that's...wild! :)

I'm not sure if the patch is going to be out in a week, I'm hoping to hand off the patch to Slitherine sometime next week. I'm guessing they will need to some testing and then publish it officially. I'm doing some final testing, I have some minor manual changes (due to patch) and working the list of changes.
No worries, I just meant to let everyone know we would have at least a week to get the 2nd Mission set done so the commanders should have plenty of time to play through those.

Ok, since Pallus is busy working on helping Peter with the update and it appears idjester will be unable to continue for a week or so due to RL issues I am opening up command of the 1 CO/2 BN/233 RGT/102ID Commander to another interested person.

First person to post acceptance will get the files via PM along with a detailed briefing. Just let me know. Be advised, this is NOT an easy mission. [;)]

Also, I don't have any overall rules finalized yet so I can't send you that part but you should be able to get the concept from the GTotH related game threads if needed.

Some tracking and design tools I am working on for the these campaigns will be in the next 2 posts. All are 'rough drafts' at this pointy and will have stuff added/changed.

The first will be the Mission Briefing that each player will receive with their mission files. It will include all the information you need to reference when playing and will double as an AAR reporting mechanism. Some of the information will be editable by the player, some not. For example, you will be able to use it to tell me what specific SW you want assigned to which unit (this may change once the new patch is out where you can switch weapons between units). It will also be used for reporting your AAR and each unit's end game status. Yes, that is a tactical map of the battle area. These will be edited VASL images and will NOT be 100% accurate but are meant more for reference on the overall terrain you will be maneuvering on.

The next one is not for the players but is more for me to try and stay organized as I build each mission scenario using my copy of SASL and VASL.

If these are "rough drafts" [&o], I don't dare imagining what the "definitive versions" will be [X(].

It is possible to export the VASL map as an image file? If the answer is affirmative, will the map be available to company commanders (EXC: Russians [:D])?

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

The small map in the "Mission Briefing" document should be enough for commanders to get an idea of the terrain. Like paper maps commanders would have access to in the field, they will not be totally accurate but should helps with planning.

The bigger map in the "SASL to TotH conversion" document is for me to track 'S?' locations, check for their 'Activation' and for determining the various setup zones. In an effort to keep generated units in the vicinity they are activated I usually group the setup zones in 5-10 hex groups unless there is only a single unit or two generated. In those cases I try to keep the setup zones to 2-4 hexes to allow for some randomness each time the scenario is played once I release them to the general public. That way, any AAR's that get posted will not give away exact details since the AI setup will be a little bit different, sometimes a lot different, each time the scenario is played.
