The big item right now is to buy our an Australian division. Need about 19 more days worth of points, but that is if I don't grab any in the meantime. I keep squadron commanders up to snuff, the occasional warship captain, and TF commanders.

After that I have a bunch of air units on the USA West Coast to buy out, there are some Australian and New Zealander units and air groups that I can buy, and some Indian support units. Not sure what I will choose, but various air units loom large.

The landing, not so much. The remaining combat squad and masses of support squads will load up tonight under cover of darkness. All are disabled. Two commando Coy are beginning preparation for the target. The Bn was only 28% prepared, took a chance, and paid the price.

Most of the infantry is ashore at San Jose and the heavy weapons should land tomorrow. The Dadjangas invasion is loading at Ulithi.

The troops at Amami Oshima are recovering nicely and with tomorrow to rest should be in better shape than they were for the first attack. The cruisers will continue to bombard Amami Oshima, but the Avengers will strike defenses at Nago, where the B-29 have continued working to little effect. Two squadrons of B-25H flying at 3,000 ft from Tokunoshima will also strike defenses at Nago. Both fast battleship TF will bombard Nago, but the old battleships will save themselves for Amami Oshima for the moment. A mine sweeping TF at Naha has begun clearing mines at Nago. First attack at Nago tomorrow.

First assault tomorrow. That strike by P-38L at Manila did some pretty serious damage to the airfield, showing 36% already! The B-24 that struck seemed to arrive in worse weather and do much less. The P-38L group will support the ground attack tomorrow. The Dadjangas invasion is loading supply.

The bombardments were just OK, and the weather a general problem at Nago. Then some staff idiot forgot to order the ground attack. Heads are gonna roll! The bombardments of Amami Oshima were decent. So, tomorrow we will attack at both Nago and Amami Oshima. The support breakdown will be like this. Nago: B-29 groups, CVE Avengers, B-25H, P-38L, all bombarding cruiser TF. Amami Oshima: all fast BB (but they all have ops points used), all old BB. The weather tomorrow might be better.

There is an LST convoy on the way to Amami Oshima with 37k supply. The troops have plenty for now, but recovery is better with even higher levels and the issue might be drawn out. More supply drops will follow. We have 22x large tankers disbanded at Naha to act as milch cows.
