Thanks for all the support. Except for the Diplomacy I did most of the things you mentioned, especially moving supplies to London and France. The French have quite a burn rate, especially after Lille falls.
I also read the intro on the Generals website. Quite helpful...
Looking forward to an interesting match

One question about leaders: is that the same concept as in new dawn (vanilla atg)?

Are we like late Rome, infatuated with past glories, ruled by a complacent, greedy elite, and hopelessly powerless to respond to changing conditions?

The Leaders have fixed attributes and you have a limited number of them with new leaders being added at the appropriate years, in game 22 I am struggling as I do not have sufficient leaders for the number of armies the Germans have..

So that means that leaders will not improve with experience, right? Is there any benefit of having a leader at the high command?

Nope I guess Guderian and Manstein will not improve they start brilliant and those stats do not change. As far as I know OKW or any other supreme HQ give no benefit to subordinate HQ's so you could leave the supreme HQ leaderless unless they are commanding some units directly within 3 hexes. As it is with air and naval units that do not receive HQ bonuses and do not count to towards HQ command limits.

Haudrauf1962 Just to warn you my wife was born in Harwich Essex in the UK and she will tell you that the Mayflower was built and crewed with people from Essex and only stopped off in Plymouth Devon for repairs after picking up passengers in Holland and London, after running into a storm on the Dutch leg. So according to her your town should be called Harwich. Christopher Jones the captain of the Mayflower was born on Kings Head Street in Harwich same street as my wife's ancestors originated [:)]
A say all all of the above with knife to my throat, I may have mentioned that a player comes from Plymouth MA, so its my own fault.[:D]

Shouldn't the new file be 2.22v1? (we were on 2.21 previously).

Are we using a newer version than last time? One with some changes to interception? I wasn't able to download it from the G23 folder?

The scenario is "GD 1938 v221V1.at2" and it is in the Dropbox folder.
You should be able to load the Italian turn as I used the correct scenario to start the game with Germany.

I am going to step out of game 23 I have not played a turn yet so whoever takes over will have a clean slate. I will I am sure just enjoy reading the AAR.

RE: Need opponent or join a GD1938 game
I'm playing China and the USA...this is what I've always complained about when I was the Japanese as it makes the USA-China link stronger than it should be or was in real life. But I will play them...unless you get someone else to play China. I cannot guarantee that USA will not work closely with China.
RE: Need opponent or join a GD1938 game
I am the USA/China in G20, and the UK/France in G19 (on hold maybe/or over?). There is no way that the player controlling 2 nations will not use it to their advantage. However, unless we can get more players, that is the only way to play the scenario. SO, with Ironduke pulling out, is G23 done?

How disappointing! Lets recruit some more players then...

[:D]No not at all, just struggling to understand why when the United Kingdom hands back Hong Kong to China some 57 years before the lease expires, That immediately causes all the Germans on the Russian front to throw down their arms and surrender [&:] LOL,
I am using that question mark smiley way to much these days.
By the way I have simply decided not to play and have surrendered to no one. If you do not start the game you cannot surrender.

Just kidding. Anyway, now we miss at least one player and until this can be fixed we have no game...

I am wondering too what we can do to solve the Chinese dilemma. What changes in victory condition we should try to do instead.... it's a local victory they achieve to be sure, but it was thought by me and bombur originally that China would have the toughest time fullfilling their conditions... I guess we were wrong...
