Were you thinking of launching an Air Raid against the TF at Luganville?

I could have, but knowing Luganville was there and packed with 50 fighters (previous numbers) I wouldn't without a shore bombardment. Not to mention, there are just a few too many subs between the carriers and a strike point currently.
And shore bombardments are horrendously risky, especially with Allied surface fleets (and potent ones) wandering around and land based air from multiple bases.
I was quite pleased with my Rufes and Zeroes providing bleeding CAP over the task forces. Instead of LRCAP, I set their range to 3, and they intercepted very nicely.[:)]

Is PDU = Off the reason why Might Mutsu is still flying Petes?

Nicely done[8D]
Being a 'recently arrived reader' is there a previous post that describes your upcoming invasion of WC or is that to come?[8D]

I really do not understand the bit about an air group needing to be divided to get replacements. Bug??

You are talking about adding planes here right?
This is the patch note: Fix issue with getting reserve planes from pool; reserves can only draw up to their limit

I recall the limit for that button only ever being 4 planes. For example, if the squadron is 16 planes, you can also add up to 4 in reserve. But I think that 4 also counted against the 12 planes per week limit.
We upgraded to the latest patch about a week ago and have several turns in. I haven't had any problems getting replacements. I have not used the Reserve button during that time.
