[REL] Phisari's Smooth and Bright Stars Mod

If you zoom into a star you may have noticed that its corona animations become very pixelated. This mod fixes that by adding a gaussian blur to the animation and also significantly brightens up the star by toning down most of the dark "sunspots". As a bonus I also added a similar edit to the black hole animations.

It is a shame that the game doesn't utilize the GPU, I think a bloom effect shader would make these star visuals look particularly good. Also it is unfortunate that we can't change star colours, I think the red and yellow stars look a little too "pastel" for my liking.

Admittedly this mod might not be to everyone's tastes, but I personally find zoomed in pixelated graphics quite annoying!

- Added gaussian blur to all 300 animated corona frames
- Increased star brightness
- Reduced contrast on sunspots so they are nearly invisible

Looks good. I generally don't go for small aesthetic mods like this, but those stars do look pretty bad zoomed in by default...

Getting back into this game now that I have some free time in this new year. Anyone have any requests for small visual tweaks like this mod?

Higher quality planets and ship models would be awesome, but probably also too time consuming?

I am currently using Sirian's ships if that helps. Much nice quality sprites compared to vanilla DW in my opinion.

I thought you could in the mapstars folder?
